I wonder how it would/will play out if a protest like that happens as a result over overturning Roe, and in the process a white male capitol police officer summarily executes an unarmed black woman. Instead of a black officer executing a white woman in the capitol riot situation.

Yeh, there will be some tears shed over on the View for her, and Kamala Harris will be speaking at her funeral and having her picture taken with her surviving family members.

To me this first hearing did a good job of showing Trump was definitely informed by his official advisers that the election was won fairly by Joe Biden. Pretty much everyone from his top campaign lawyer, attorney general, White House counsel and all of the state people made it as clear as possible but he continued to press unfounded lies. Many people on this forum were manipulated by the Trump lies about election fraud seeking audits etc. There’s no question the mob that attacked the Capitol came from a rally organized under the false premise of this lie and Trump himself motivated the mob.

To me, that’s what was probably the most important information shared.

The Pence situation is interesting. This is definitely something I will be looking for more details on. Also, that the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers had an organized plan to break into the Capitol with violent and coordinated attack strategies is something that needs to be flushed out more. And they strategized to get the lead the mob shows even higher levels of organization and planning.

And membership apparently increased substantially after Trump told them to stand by during the presidential debate. Trump is behind the whole thing. He set in in motion, and then encouraged it to froth. So if Proud Boy #1 Enrique Tarrio was charged with sedition, I wonder what awaits Trump.

Interesting how deeply Liz Cheney stepped in it by going on at length that there was clear intelligence- days and weeks in advance- about how the capitol riot plans were in the making.

And yet, Pelosi and Bowser would not call up the national guard as Trump had authorized, and the capitol police responded like a bunch of disorganized, panicky, museum guards, with no meaningful plan or command and control structure.

Yep. No need to ask again why the Committee refused to allow Republicans on the committee who would ask uncomfortable questions.
