'I am not a crisis actor': Florida teens hit back at conspiracy theorists
22 February 2018

https://www.theage.com.au/world/nor...-at-conspiracy-theorists-20180222-p4z16s.html

Former Republican congressman Jack Kingston tweeted a USA Today story about the student organisers helping lead a nationwide student walkout in protest of America's gun laws, adding the message: "O really? 'Students' are planning a nationwide rally? Not left wing gun control activists using 17yr kids in the wake of a horrible tragedy?"

Kingston then appeared on CNN's "New Day" Tuesday and doubled-down on his remarks.

"Do we really think - and I say this sincerely - do we really think that 17-year-olds on their own are going to plan a nationwide rally?" Kingston said, adding, "They probably do not have the logistical ability to plan a nationwide rally without it being hijacked by groups that already had the preexisting anti-gun agenda."

The show's co-host Alisyn Camerota fiercely disagreed.

"I talked to these kids before they knew the body count of how many of their friends had been killed. No one had talked to them yet," Camerota said. "They hadn't been indoctrinated by some left-wing group. They were motivated from what they saw and what they endured."

Brandon Abzug, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas senior who survived the shooting, then appeared on CNN and said of the former representative's comments, "I think it's very despicable... to say that just because we're young we can't make a difference is not right and he should apologise for that."

Kingston began backtracking on Twitter, saying that "not only do I respect their right to protest & their resolve to look for answers, I admire it" and that's "why it's sad local gun control activists would hijack the tragedy to drive their own agenda".

Perhaps, from now on, every freshly new lie should be dealt with a similar effective manner, Timely & Strategically, forcing Trump to serve as the national/world leader dutifully. lol

Truth doesn't matter when you have a cultist echo chamber.

One of the possible ways is for the collective mainstream journalists to assemble an investigative team in order to investigate and resolve any newly released unreliable news/claims within the shortest lead-time, preferably within the same news cycle of the unreliable news.

That means readers should be able to read the unreliable news and the investigative report (by the highly qualified prestige journalists) almost at the same time without much delay.

Unusual action/timing, unusual reaction/response!

Minimise the negative impact potentially caused by unreliable news. At the same time, provide highly reliable information and the related sources for readers to study/read/conclude own individual opinion objectively. According to both versions of the news.

Conventionally, publishing soonest whatever any attractive fresh news is like just a perfect duty by journalism. Now we need more than the conventions.

Much much more! Because the negative impact to the society has been too much, indeed unbearable!

If the mainstream journalists from the collective mainstream medias cannot overcome the way of unreliable news in our internet era. We are doomed to live in a fearful world from now on.

Because we would never know in a timely manner which news is reliable , which is not, in order to make daily decisions.

How come the Obama's birth certificate cannot be resolved within 30 minutes after learning the doubtful news, after a team of journalists driving/flying to the office for investigation and verification immediately.

They, the journalists, not the government, need to develop a system of electronically monitoring and collecting the doubtful news on-the-fly, from Absolutely all available news sources.

lol

Perhaps a new legislation would be required to allow particularly this kind of collective journalists teams owning a special power for performing investigative journalist duties, according to certain disclosure limitations.

The investigative report must be signed off by the team members, who would be surely liable. lol

"Great Pollster John McLaughlin now has the GOP up in the Generic Congressional Ballot."

Source: Twitter

in fact: The most recent McLaughlin poll, done earlier in February, found Democrats leading 45 per cent to 42 per cent on the generic congressional ballot.

"I never said Russia did not meddle in the election, I said 'it may be Russia, or China or another country or group, or it may be a 400 pound genius sitting in bed and playing with his computer.' The Russian 'hoax' was that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia - it never did!"

Source: Twitter

in fact: We'll let Trump get away with slightly misquoting himself. (In a Sept. 2016 presidential debate, he said, "I mean, it could be Russia, but it could also be China. It could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, OK?") Much more importantly, it is false that he was always said the hoax was limited to the specific allegation that his campaign colluded with Russia. In fact, he referred to the overall claim of Russian meddling in the election as a fraud. In Dec. 2016, he had this exchange on Fox News: "CHRIS WALLACE: According to the Washington Post, the CIA has concluded that Russia intervened in the election to help you win the presidency. Your reaction? TRUMP: I think it's ridiculous. I think it's just another excuse. I don't believe it." In February 2017, he said, "I guess one of the reasons I'm here today is to tell you the whole Russian thing -- that's a ruse. That's a ruse." He didn't use the word "hoax," but "ruse" is almost identical. In Sept. 2016, during the election, he said "it's probably unlikely" that Russia was interfering, adding, "I think maybe the Democrats are putting that out" -- again, suggesting the very idea of interference was a hoax. And in his most famous remark on the subject, in November 2017, he said of Russian President Vladimir Putin: "He said he didn't meddle. He said he didn't meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times. I just asked him again. He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election. He did not do what they are saying he did... Every time he sees me he says, 'I didn't do that,' and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it." While he did not himself say "Russia did not meddle," he came very close by saying he really believes Putin "means" his denials.

I've OP and others ON IGNORE, so I can't see what others have posted.

However, let me chime in with this.... My view is that Odumbo is the consummate political liar! I doubt he ever spoke a truthful word during his administration. And in so doing, did IMMEASURABLE HARM TO AMERICA!!... not just with what he said, but how he abused the power of his office and the trust of the American people. He invariably acted in "bad conscience". Whenever there was a decision to be made about ANYTHING... he ALWAYS chose the one that harmed America the most. He deserves our ultimate contempt!!

Obama chosing the decision that harmed Americia the most was merely him fulfilling his backers orders. Do you know of any Democratic politicians that put American’s interests before their own?

According to polls, Trumps favorability ratings are slowly increasing lately. If they continue there trend to the midterm elections, maybe the Republicans will come out ok. The Democrats are defending a lot of seats, apparently.
