The Big Short...looks more like The Big Bust.
Costs 28 million to make, but only brought in 5.5 million in box office revenue. (at the time of writing this) ...The Force Awakens by comparison has brought in 813 million so far.

The public is quickly losing interest in Wall Street and finance in general. The glory days are long gone.

That's what I was suspecting...when I first heard about The Big Short. The public kind of has little/no interest in finance/wall st-themed movies. I kind of knew that if it just broke-even, that would be considered very lucky.

I remember watching Wall Street 2 [2010] in the movie theater...I went on a Wednesday afternoon at 2pm...there were only three people inside of the theater, including me. -- and one of them left halfway through it. ...felt weird/creepy...watching a movie with just another guy in the theater.

Unless the public are made aware of the assholes that rip them off at eveyr turn they will continue to be the stream of dumb money. They will continue to be the turkeys who are treated with utter disdain by the banksters-this film and Wolf of Wall street should be compulsory viewing for anyone looking to make an 'investment' in the rotten stock market

I got a torrent, watched it yesterday very good funny aswell.

Saw it coming years before aswell, used to discuss in 2004 with a mate how banks would fail, didn't expect the bail out.
