Their biggest challenge will be appeasing their own base. The base essentially wants Universal Basic Income for all the unemployed, 15 bucks an hour for those employed at the minimum wage level, which makes zero sense. Why work when UBI pays better than working? Covid is still completely out of control in the lockdown states, and holding it's own everywhere else. Logistics of the vaccine rollout will continue to be problematic. A caravan of illegals is working it's way up to arrive by spring. Joe can handle that with the stroke of his pen, but still has the problem that comes with thousands upon thousands of poor and sick people entering the country.
Antifa isn't going away, expect a violent summer. It's only a matter of time before some thug gets his ass jammed up with a cop. Enter BLM. The MAGA mob is organizing and will dominate any news of violence, but that won't diminish the damage being done by Antifa and BLM mobs. Expect the media smoke and mirror game to provide as much cover as possible.
Then there's foreign policy which can blow up, literally, in an instant. China will continue to fuck us wherever possible.
Finally the boot of big tech will continue to try and control what passes for free speech which will only serve to exacerbate all of the above problems. Other than that, it's all good. Oh wait, Hunter might have a surprise or two. Me thinks Joe is going to be looking for an early exit, and Kamala ain't ready for primetime, not in the middle of this shitshow. So yeah, hanging on to Orange man bad will be around for awhile.

You have written to most of my fears, but I am hopeful between Biden, Harris, the cabinet, and others, someone will recognize and convey the importance to not disincentivize new business formation and hard work. By extension, this would mean the Biden-Harris Administration taking a more inclusive tone than we saw during the Obama Administration.

I don't know about you, but I'm keeping a spot open for Biden/Harris on my "Top 5 Worst Presidents" list.

The Left has the "hammer" now. They were pissed when Trump interrupted their partying, so they won't let opportunity slip through their fingers again.

They will ruin what's remaining of America with their immigration policies and Leftist dictum! (Is the plural of dictum, "dicta"?)

It will be interesting to see how things play out. In the end, the Biden Administration might actually start distancing themselves from the Radical Left, especially if their credibility starts getting tested over Antifa actions. Of course, if the Biden Administration embraces Antifa and the Radical Left, the path forward for the rest of the country should become clear. Very clear.

I'm afraid that's going to be their plan.... to "lock us down, under their ideology and rules". And we all know that once a bad government program/policy is in force, nearly impossible to remove. Biden admin can (and is likely to) inflict BIG TIME damage on what's left of America, sadly.

Someone has to put a good foot forward. After what the Republicans did to Bill Clinton, Bush’s Patriot Act and Wars, and O’Connell’s crap, Conservatives are morally obligated to turn their cheek. This is in spite of the Left’s fake collusion, etc. Besides, if the Republican’s offer an olive branch and Democrats reject it, what better way is there to win in the court of public opinion, where people’s sense of justice is likely to take precedence over petty partisan politics?

I voted “Above average” performance for the Biden-Harris Administration. Note, votes are changeable and the poll does not have an expiration date. I hope the Biden Administration exceeds my hopeful expectations. I am praying those on the Right try to keep an open mind and helpful stance in spite of how Trump was treated from day one.

Our country is going down in part because we are too partisan and often seem to think obstructing the other side, even on mutually beneficial legislation, works to their own political advantage. Never mind our country may take a hit, it seems.

Clearly, the way things have been going in this country have not been working. We are on the cusp of an exponential inflection point in technology. We need to change our thinking before we hurt ourselves and deny our potential. Yes, we need to find a way of evolving from sh*t throwing apes. Left or Right does not matter in the end if most of what we are doing is throwing sh*t at each other.

Who knows, maybe God or nature put an ultimate safety mechanism on “Intelligent” species who might otherwise travel throughout the galaxy and harm other species because of their own insecurities and defective psychology.
