I just scan through part of Timothy Sykes book. He just talks about some very basic classic Technical Analysis with his "I can tell this TA works fxxxing good from my experience" kind of comments. Look like he has good long term plan how to use infinitely subjectively ways to "coaching" to earn big money from the public, I really doubt if he really earned good money from penny stocks.

Regardless, Sykes turned 10 or 20k into over a million twice-- both fully documented and audited. The second time, all the trades were posted in advance.
The reason TA works in Sykes case is that he has other information about the stocks-- fundamental info showing they are overvalued and over hyped. In futures, you do not have any additional information therefore objective/ automated TA will not work as it can't stand on its own.

In futures you have crop reports, inventory reports, demand/consumption projections etc. In many instances demand can be linked to economic data, silver for example having >50% consumption by industry. I could go on and on but you should get the point already.
