The best traders in ET

Quote from wrbtrader:

I don't remember T. Sykes user name here at ET. I'm sure you can use ET search menu to find it on your own. Yet, he has a twitter account @ https://twitter.com/timothysykes if you're looking for more information.

By the way, I like his goal of trying to teach a trading skill to individual traders so that they can be self-sufficient @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQZbqOnZ_Bo#at=252

Just to let you know there's lots of edges or skills out there for traders. You just gotta be open minded, hungry enough and just go do it. Also, if you're looking for other top traders that are not ET members or former ET members that got ran out of ET by the usual trolls...just pay close attention to some of those CNBC and Bloomberg interviews and you'll hear traders mention the names of profitable traders that they pay attention too.

You'll quickly learn that these individual traders have excellent trader network and collaboration that I believe is a crucial element of their trading plan. I'm not going to mention any more specific names (e.g. Paul Rotter, T. Sykes in contrast of each other) but I've done my research and have about 27 names on my own personal list of individual traders that are millionaires (most are not ET members).

Don't believe the misinformation out there. There are successful individual traders out there.

I believe he has his way to have pretty good chance to win money from market, but I think his marketing / teaching just his another way to earn money. I don't think he would really share his way. Larry William is another person who is very interesting, seem like he really knows how to trade well but he would write books and do marketing...even his daughter wins stock kind of competition with big percentage earning...

He's a smart trader and a smart vendor.

Besides, most top professionals have side businesses. For example, Michael Jordan did Hanes underwear commercials (made millions off those commercials) at the peak of his basketball career. Maria Sharapova is a top tennis player that has designed and created a very popular candy store business. The list is endless to what top professionals do on the side for another source of income no matter how many millions the are making or made from whatever it was that made them famous in the first place. Heck, top professionals have even used their successes in sports to get into into politics...later to become mayors, senators, key presidential advisory positions and even Presidents.

Simply, their successes are real. What they do later off the back of their successes doesn't take away from their accomplishments nor should their accomplishments be minimized.

T. Sykes became famous as an individual trader...a millionaire via a way that most bashers here at ET have been trolling (funny ones are the outspoken hypocrites) that such couldn't be done and such types of traders don't exist. Others did the same as individual traders while using their network and collaboration to help them do it...Paul Rotter has blended in nicely his institutional successes and individual trading successes into a billion dollar investment firm.

Yeah, someday these individuals may blowup or become broke. As for now, they're living it up and should be in my opinion. :D

I think T. Sykes has his professional strategies, but I guess he would not really share the core strategies in his core business or public.

I am reading TimothySykes posts in the past in ET. I haven't read his book yet, did he talk about his real strategy in his book? I mean the real strategy with clear steps, not like psychology or philosophy of his trading....

It doesn't seem like you've reviewed his website at all. Lets put it this way, I highly doubt he would reveal his core strategies with clear steps here at ET for free while selling the exact same information to others for a fee. :D

Last of all, the guy has an email address and contact info. You should be asking him these questions.

So how about his book? He charges money for buying his book.

Didn't amazon provide a synopses about what's in the book. Amazon usually is good with providing that type of information. Just as important, are there reviews at amazon where traders talk about any strategies discussed in the book ?

If you don't see any reviews by traders about specific strategies...just assume the book wasn't about strategies.

Seriously, if you're interested in him, you really should contact him.

Once again, it was Paul Rotters institutional training that led to his success--therefore the context in which his name is used on this thread is wrong.

Tim Sykes is completely transparent in what he does --- everything is out there for free-- however his study materials consolidate everything in an easy to use format.

The book is great, but it's just a story book not a how to book-- an American hedge fund.
