SouthAmerica: In the last two weeks it seems to me that a bunch of people from the Democratic Party got in the race for president in 2008 including Senator Joseph Biden, Senator Christopher J. Dodd Dodd, and many others.
Today, The New York Times publish an article by columnist Frank Rich â âThe Cannes Landslide for Al Gore.â
He said on the article: âStill, the unexpected rebirth of Al Gore says more about the desperation of the Democrats than it does about him.â
It is a long article and a bunch of non-sense about Hollywood and the Hollywood crowd and so on.
It is amazing to me that all these television talking heads, pundits, and all kinds of political columnists and commentators are so clueless and out of touch with reality.
In my opinion, at this point the Democratic Party has its candidate for 2008, all the democrats have to do at this point is figure out who else will be in the Democratic ticket as vice president. Al Gore will be the Democratic candidate but not because of his latest movie about global warming and the environment. If that was the case then they should have released the movie in the summer of 2007 to position him as a potential candidate.
The reason Al Gore will sky rocket and will be very hard for any other democrat to beat him in the effort to become the Democratic candidate in 2008 â it is because the American people will be watching on live television at least 2 or 3 Hurricane Katrinas per year during the summer of 2006, 2007, and the summer before the presidential election in 2008.
The American people will be watching over and over again on television the results of global warming in the United States after every hurricane hits the US with its powerful destroctive forces â the destruction, the displacement of a large number of people, the costs related to reconstruction, and so on â and the debate about global warming will make headlines over and over again.
Al Gore has a well-established position as an environmentalist and Al Gore also understands the importance of the information superhighway and the internet for the future of the United States.
If you are not convinced as yet that Al Gore will be the best choice for the Democrats to be elected president in 2008 â just wait and watch one Katrina after another until everybody in the Democratic party will realize Al Gore will be a sure win in 2008.
The 6 to 9 Hurricane Katrinas that the American people will watch live on television in the summers of 2006, 2007, and 2008 will do the trick.
The Democrats should stop wasting time and money - and they should concentrate in finding out who will be the best VP to be in the ticket with Al Gore in the presidential election of 2008.
I have no doubt Al Gore will be the best Democratic candidate for 2008 â and I would consider putting Ralph Nader in the same ticket for vice president.
In 2008 a democratic dream ticket "Al Gore / Ralph Nader" could be a winning ticket for the Democratic Party.
