It does not add up. Now Gates is telling military personnel to stop spreading gossip about the mission. What for? More suspicion, even among the ranks. Intelligent people are starting to wake up to the fact that propaganda is coming out of DC, and it is getting worse, hence the rise in so-called conspiracy theories.

You guys really need to find something better to do. Al Qeada even said he was dead. We said he was dead. Anyone who doesn't think he's dead needs his head examined because there's some serious issues with the way your brain handles thoughts.

A few years after somailia, I read an article about the Black Hawks and basically , they are the best helicopters going, when they work. I got the impression that these things are a work in progress. so when I heard mechanical failure with OBL, I thought, sounds about right.

I get the impression that there are "add-ons' & "modifications" for improvements which lead to new and different failures.

I did try to find the original article I read but its hopeless the way google ranks news. Old stuff gets buried fast and deep.

No tin foil involved, they are a great chopper, unbelievably overbuilt, structurally and crashworthy wise.
But it's an old airframe now, and more an more software and bits have to be added. It doesnt sound like a "real" crash, (loss of main rotor, or tail rotor) it landed safely, just couldn't fly again......hard to say what that might be.

Maybe they were using Windows to run it's avionics
