the best futures broker

How's your account now?

Quote from Bernard111:

I trade using TT X_Trader 6.x, averaging about 35 rt per day (about 1500 lots monthly) with no minimum volume quota or TT monthly fees.

Does it exist any broker that offers a decent platform (with STATIC DOM + no BID/ASK VOLUME disappearing when placing a trade on DOM) and with excellent feed that allows to trade eCBOT ZB/ZN for no more than 3.00 rt all-inclusive?

This is my calculation with Transact (using their TransACT/Yestrader platform -but don't know whether their DOM is STATIC w/BID/ASK VOLUME always active):

35 rt / day = 70 lots/day = 1540 lots (22 days in 1 month)
$.55 + .45 (exch. fees)+ .06(clearing) + .02 (NFA)= $ 1.08

$ 1.08 * 1540 lots = $1663.20

Is there a better deal around with those software requirements?
:confused:

If you're doing hardly any volume at all, then your choices are either Velocity Futures with free X_TRADER or Interactive Brokers (don't sell them short...

Why shouldn't you short futures?

What kind of futures should a beginner start with?..gold..oil..s&p?

The OP suggested Velocity and X_Trader are not a short, not Futures in general.

600 Plus Posts and you wanna know if Gold or Crude good for a newbie, nice job hijacking a "Broker" thread.

This place never ceases to amaze me!

I've read some of your posts, your no genius either by any means. However for a small fee, I can help you remove that stick from your anal sphincter.

Take a look at global futures

I am a former IB accountholder. Global is far better. Customer service is first-rate. A live person answers the phone, not matter whom you call or what department. Each accountholder is assigned a personal broker; Mason Ching has done an excellent job meeting my needs. The commissions are as low as IB's, plus you can negotiate lower commissions based on your volume. In addition, margin requirements are lower than IB. Global does not have all the "bells and whistles" but the customer service trumps all that.
