Poor Van, got himself all in a twist. We're left with three choices. A unapologetic socialist/borderline commie, a criminally corrupt political hack, and a real estate mogul/TV celebrity who really doesn't give a shit what he says or who he offends. In a nation grown weary of all the crying and whining I just can't imagine why the guy who doesn't give a shit who he offends has a good chance of winning. (CNN)Hillary Clinton is itching to take on Donald Trump in a one-on-one contest for the White House -- but she isn't pushing Bernie Sanders off the stage yet.
Democrats close to Clinton and the man who could become a top surrogate -- President Barack Obama -- insist they won't pressure the Vermont senator to leave. That reluctance is based on fear inside the Democratic establishment that such a move would make it more difficult to unite the party later this year.
Clinton needs the excited supporters that have rallied around Sanders and hopes treating the senator's campaign respectfully will make them more likely to back her against Trump. Clinton has already started to make overtures to Sanders' supporters -- pledging to support them even if they don't support her -- and campaign aides have said those will continue in the coming weeks.
Clinton on Wednesday told CNN's Anderson Cooper said she isn't pushing Sanders to hurry up....

It's too bad Bernie doesn't have a chance. I know so many folks that have said that if he were the nominee, they would have to reconsider their vote for Trump.
Not really. Hilary won 9 of the 12 last states when she was being told to drop out against Obama, and Obama still won both the primary and the general.
The last thing Clinton wants to do is piss off the Bern supporters. I am not even sure it is a lost cause to try to win them over. Some will vote for Trump, some will stay home. The rest which is by far the massive majority, I really don't know. Over the history of our nation, many brave people have died for our right to vote and choose our leaders. It is a sad travesty not to vote and a huge insult to the United States of America.
There has to be some deal from the Clinton campaign to adopt the key issues that the Bern has raised to win their hearts. Clinton is 60% of the way there. Her problem is she really doesn't want to promise something she can't deliver without also alienating the Goldman Sachs type backers.

Trump is beginning to see why the Bern wants to overturn Citizens United. Trump hasn't said a word or much about it, but if he truly wants government for the people by the people, he should be working as hard as the Bern to get rid of big money in politics. Instead, he has to contend with a fierce Clinton campaign that is going to raise easily $1,000,000,000 in SuperPACs $ just for the general.
So Trump will be a wooden dummy on strings just like everybody else.

If the Bern supporters eventually come out and support Clinton, I think she goes to 70,000,000 easily.
Is that enough to win? I would say if she has that kind of turnout, she is 9:1 odds on. I think the final electoral college will be similar to Obama vs McCain in 2008.
