The APPLE Crash

Quote from slumdog:

There will be a correction at some point.

The thing is no one knows when.

Will appl reach 500 before it corrects, 600, 700, 800..

The OP was about six months (and $250) too early :D

this is more of fight thread then a thread about apple.. Apple not far from 700! if anyone was going to move to a dollar dominated equity.. think.. they picked aapl! thats another current going for it.. its basicallly a pile full of cash and earnings to store your money in if your looking for something dollar dominated.... i'd have studied momentum stocks with parbolic charts like cmg, gmcr or any other with a crazy PE rather then this cash machine.. i am not a Apple customer.. I play volatility in Apple more then direction.. but i'm not a outright equity investor.. so it doesn't matter to me seems like people try to poke holes in such a great story... there are so many stories out their with tons of holes in them that make way better shorts!
How much of a retailer am I! Obviously was quite wrong

Quote from TradeMetal:

Oh yeah sure,

The have $100 billion in cash on their account.

Own all their patents.

Own all their buildings.

Have no financing or any loans or credits.

Users love their products.

Kill every 'ipad/iphone/ipod killer that is coming out every week' without any problems.

Have an incredible amount of new top secret products in development.

They are the biggest company in $ worth traded on this planet.

but sure, why don't you just fire up your super indicators and tell us what is going to happen with AAPL.

I agree

Isn't it funny - these 20/20 geniuses!!!!!!!

I finally got it right - but by then I was broke!

Quote from AK100:

One interesting point to think about AAPL is that management haven't really made one mistake over the last 10-12 years. That breeds the natural feeling of invincibilty, always a dangerous position to be in.

Yeah
Except he died recently...

Has there been any innovation and vision at apple since Jobs passed away?

Strategy at the moment seems to be to tweak existing products.

Make them smaller (ipad) or longer (iphone) or thinner (imac).

Just as the top in AAPL was impossible to predict, (like someone already said this thread's OP was $250 early in nailing the top). Likewise no one knows where the exact bottom will be. But i doubt $450 is it.
