As humans we have evolved away from a 'survival' mentality to one of 'living comfortably' mentality.
Living comfortably in the long term requires good money management skills, something we as humans have been late to realize.
Because this was not taught to the masses when growing up, you see the effects today in every sector of society and government.
This is one unintended way of teaching our children about proper use of resources, so it is a good thing. Human growing pains indeed.
As I read yesterday in an article, Americans spend tomorrow's money today, Chinese spend today's money, tomorrow.......and as the sign in a English pub says, 'free beer tomorrow'...
(nobody has been able to collect on it....lol)
