The ACD Method

Wouldn't be worth much for the expiring contract to tag yearly a down on its way out. Needs to drag z to that point and with a 22+ carry its gotta blow out.

Each contract has it's own yearly A down. All of them have blown through for me. By a wide margin. My levels could be off though. I also look at stuff like UNG as well and that has blown through.

BTW, the widowmaker had a perfect failed yearly A up around 23 cents earlier in the year and it's sitting right near the yearly A down now around a .05. Just an fyi...

Number lines are awful though.

Mav, you see anything interesting developing in FX land? Looks like USD/JPY is ready to explode on upside...hitting my monthly Aup right now but it is towards the end of the month...

I need to update my FX number lines. I'll try to have some comments this week about it.

Yes, but have noticed that when those levels are hit right near contract expiration, it acts as an attractor to the month coming prompt. look at the past few years in grains and feeder cattle...some very good examples there. Just came off one in feeder cattle. hit the yearly a down as U cash settled and V came prompt (same time as V live cattle entered delivery period and Z went top step), spreads cratered, brought the coming prompts into the same levels. Gave the big "puke thru" of the yearly level on the coming prompt month and boom...reversal. May not be the case in nat gas, but have seen it often lately on markets in such heavy trends and hitting yearlies into delivery.

Number lines are horrid though. And gotta say...some of the worst short term number lines we've seen in a while across the energies.

Small and mid cap ain’t playing in this action.

My DIA NL turned positive on 9/18/15 but with the pullback in place at that time, I didn’t take notice until the monthly A up on 10/6.

Likewise my SPY NL turned positive on 9/17/15 and like the DIA, was in a pullback so I took no notice until the monthly A up on 10/5.

My midcap index NL (IJH) is currently a -1 and has shown no strength.

My smallcap index NL (IJR) is currently a -3 and …. no strength.

Will the big boys pull’em all up in short order?

Btw, my APPL NL turned positive last Thursday for the first time in a while.

Also my long bond (TLT) turned positive again yesterday.

Yeah I think there is a tendency when longs are trapped going into delivery when something is that weak, the market does not let them out.

I have got confirmed numberlines for coffee. Anyone watching it? My NLs is automated though like in Fisher's book so it not always works :)

Thanks for posting that. I don't track Coffee anymore so it's good to hear when others get confirms in products I'm not tracking.

As a suggestion to others, feel free to post your 30 day confirms. We all don't track the same stuff and regardless of how you score your number lines, I find it very helpful to know what's confirming or what has confirmed.
