Yes, but have noticed that when those levels are hit right near contract expiration, it acts as an attractor to the month coming prompt. look at the past few years in grains and feeder cattle...some very good examples there. Just came off one in feeder cattle. hit the yearly a down as U cash settled and V came prompt (same time as V live cattle entered delivery period and Z went top step), spreads cratered, brought the coming prompts into the same levels. Gave the big "puke thru" of the yearly level on the coming prompt month and boom...reversal. May not be the case in nat gas, but have seen it often lately on markets in such heavy trends and hitting yearlies into delivery.
Number lines are horrid though. And gotta say...some of the worst short term number lines we've seen in a while across the energies.
