He mentioned, on this thread I think but it could be elsewhere, that he had found another forum which he thought really worthwhile. Someone asked which one and he was unwilling to disclose.
Must be one of the better kept secrets of the Internet, because I've searched and found nothing even close to as active as ET.

There are other forums with premium sections and private (invitational only) forums. Simply, there can easily be other active discussions about the ACD Method not available to the general public...some of which are intentionally setup as such to be not cached by search engines to maintain their privacy.
Simply, its common to see discussions move elsewhere to a private location from a source that has too many moderating problems. I've seen such occur with two other trade methods discussed here at ET. Folks think the OP or active members died off when in fact its very active at another location online in a more controlled environment.

I feel the same way. I feel like I owe the guy a steak or a beer or something. Mav always answered my questions anytime I asked him something. He was active on the politics message board as well. He probably got sick of dealing with the same goofballs over and over again. I wish him well.
Most don't say they're leaving. Yet, if someone in this thread had more of a personal interaction with him via private message...maybe there was such a discussion about leaving that only that person is privileged to. Therefore, maybe he only notify a select few in this thread about leaving the thread/forum.
Yet, in other rare cases...something happen involving his health and because of such he wasn't able to post any info about such. Hopefully, its not the latter.
DAX negative (-10) for me on the number line.
GBP first day positive (9) for me on number line.
With DAX though other factors like some of the individual stocks, QE and long term trend are positive however, wonder how people marry those 2 factors. Been a good few days playing the downside with ACD.

There is also the possibility that he merely retired the handle and is here under a new name. He has in the past been accused of not being a real trader ("how could a real trader post so much?") and late last year accused of being a shill for the industry, again because he has "posted so much". He doesn't let people get to him, but he might have decided 20K is a good time to start afresh. If so he would hardly reveal that as it would defeat the purpose of changing.
Whatever, he has left behind a ton of stuff and many people capable of answering the typical questions that crop up, so there is no reason to let this thread die. As much as we got from him, we should be equally willing to give to those who come in future.

I had been meaning to ask if anyone is having success with the number lines? Just curious. I was excited about the idea for a while but after keeping them for over a year I've ended up feeling disillusioned. Not a big deal, I'm just disappointed that I haven't been able to find any benefit in what Mav describes as a genius concept and the best part of ACD.

Not gonna lie haven't found much success using the NL either. Maybe its because I'm a short term trader that focuses on equites or maybe the markets may have simply changed where they have become ineffective at identifying momentum.
What I have found success in though is incoperating ACD concepts such as minimizing risk and maximizing reward. Developing a trading plan that incoperates once personality is so important and often overlooked but ACD has allowed me to do just that.
