The ACD Method

Anyone catch this move because I sure didn't lol
I had some bullish reversal signals in energy and oil on Tuesday but decided to ignore it and stayed short and lost all gains :) Now it is difficult decision, I hate when this happens. Yeah yesterday was crazy day, SPY printed 213! Lots of weekly A ups.

My Gold (GLD) NL’s went from a little tease short term positive starting on 12/10 to a nasty little tumble. It’s now short term neutral (most recent 5 days are: -11, -11 and -5 today) and the 30 day re-confirmed negative on Friday. Worse, today was a confirmed WAD. However :)my MAD is 112.39 and today’s low was 112.41. Is it just teasing here too? Or, more ugly to come?

Mav, some questions if I may.

1) Which futures spreads would you recommend for beginners? Some are apparently easy to lose your shirt on. I have dabbled with CL calendar spreads, slow moving at that time.
2) Are you familiar with any of these books?

If you're ever in the mood to write a long piece on ACD and Futures spreads, it would be most welcome.

Hey Mav,
Have you had a chance to put some thoughts together? :)

Mav, if you are saving the comments on futures spreads for what you write later, could you give me an opinion on the books, assuming you are familiar with them.

Thanks Robert. I have those bits and pieces, what I'm hoping for is a magnum opus rather like the 3 pieces (2+1 answer actually) Mav did on Forex. There's so much value there I think it's about the best part of this thread.

I'll put it on my to do list today.
All good things to those who wait...:)

I'm sorry Mav,
justrading had asked you a while back and I never saw anything posted.
