The ACD Method

Quote from Maverick74:

I try to use XLU sparingly because it's double dipping. In other words, you are trading an inversely correlated product. It tends to go down most of the time when the market goes up. Meaning, if we roll over, not only will you lose money on FCX, but XLU will now spike in your face.

Ok...good to know. Caught 100 bp in about 10 minutes in that, I was like woah!

Yeah, it's basically a double leveraged long. So yes, you will make money very fast and lose it fast. Kind of like being long ES and short the Dollar.

Hi thanks,

Bit confusing. The pivot range has nothing to do with opening range ?

For example lets say ES has opening range of 9:30 to 9:50 am EST

The A' value from a weekly perspective is calculated from that range how? Not sure how Pivot range plays into the A' value and opening range value?
especially wht respect t oweekly ?

Hello ?

Thanks

Definition is on the MBF website...check it out

What ?

I know a lot more than you think about the book, fisher, the method etc etc website etc

I was just asking how the weekly is calculated I.E. off of what numbers?

We know that A' value . Maverick has said that the value is "subjective" It can be 20-25 % of the ATR or some stale number off the website you gave.

How is weekly opening range calculated so that you can plot A' value ?

Tnaks!

That's also subjective. Again, it depends on the product, the trading hours, the volatility, etc. You have to determine that value. The weekly opening range for Crude Oil is not the same for ES, etc.
