The ACD Method

Quote from Maverick74:

Looks like I sold my NFLX a little prematurely. Sold it on the pop on the open and hoping to get it back cheaper. Not going to happen. Does this market ever go down? LOL.

Aww, man! Perfect failed A down! Remember what you told me about missing that huge SLV trade in October, (I covered my puts like a day before the bottom dropped out).

: )

Edit: Sorry, September, not October

This stock is up 50% in the last month and I thought we would get some moderate pull back in the ES this week. Jesus man, no such luck. The weekly levels for NFLX are 85.58 and 93.00.

Thanks for the interesting story King!

Btw, its not clear - Did he make this 50 million from the markets ? And did he put all this money in his wife's name or did wife got this money from inheritence or some of her own business.

Aside, all traders who are very successful are careful about their monies. They are generally quite conservative about their spending patterns, even when in the markets they could be making/losing hundreds of thousands in one day. I think Eric had a thread on successful traders, where he mentioned this quality.

she was from old money. The point was these guys were all busting on him for being a scalper when he had no money issues. There are a lot of people in the markets who don't really have to trade they do it because they love the mkts.

Yes, very true - I plan to keep trading for at least 40 more years, even though I will be rich in a few years :) LOL

Its about passion. Passionate people are passionate about the things they do - money is just a number at the end of year. In any field - be it businessowners like bill gates/jobs, or traders like Soros, Druckenmiller, Tiger, Rogers - all names who kept trading/investing/working on their interests even after they have amassed a huge fortune. Hard to know any trader who actually quit (maybe due to health issues). Market is just too attractive a puzzle to leave it ever.

NFLX looks like it's going to confirm that weekly

Yeah, thanks for rubbing that in. :)

I'm buying this back on the next dip.

Where are those European rumors when you need them?
