The ACD Method

Quote from mfbreakout:

Once my re short level gets broken , I go long on pullbacks. For example, my re short was 94.46 with stop loss at 94.54. I got stopped out.

Cl pulled back to 94.95. I went long 94.02 with stop loss at 93.79. I expect to cl to hit next re short level of 94.80 at some point.

No identifiable trading box during lunch time. 94.50 to 94.10 was too narrow of a box. I like to see 100 ticks moves in a box to get some confidence.

Chart showing reason from being trying to short , got interested in longs. Looks like 94.64 is all we gonna get.

damn VIX down 2.04 and market does nothing. Thank GOD , i stay from ES.

Pivot tracker value of 102 did not disappoint in terms of hinting towards narrow range price action - matching daily ATR of 250 ticks.

I know I asked you this before, but how does he calculate the pivot tracker. What does 102 mean. Is that the number of ticks in the daily pivot range? That's 10 handles. My daily pivot today is only 5 handles wide. I don't think that can be an average either as the ES barely ever has a pivot 10 handles wide.

Bad day, long IWM and SLV for a loss and a scratch in a short position in QQQ. First loses since using ACD, I'll have to go back to the white board and think about what I did wrong. At first glance it looks like there wasn't enough movement in the stuff I follow to even bother to take a position...

Shan, you get the cookie today. This spread was spot on today. Nice trade! So smooth. Still making new highs.

That's the kind of trade that I like...nice and smooth!
