Huge moves in FX land today after the upbeat CPI report. I have solid A´s in favour of dollar strength...
The even more impressive part about this is that ACD would have got us into that trade up to an hour before..

I've noticed that in Ags especially. For example pre-roll price action in the new contract doesn't always match that of the old contract. Usually it doesn't have a significant effect so doesn't matter which way you score it.Question for people who track futures numberlines (e.g. oil). When the contract rolls over - like Oil has moved from March to April last week, will you just continue the 30-day numberline from March with the April contract or go through the exercise of scoring April independently back 30 days? Seems like it should be fine to just continue with March, but wanted to see what others do. Thanks
Thanks, redbaron - can you please explain why you made this distinction?I would say if it failed as in it never breached the level I would give it a -2 if it failed the first A up and A down due to not enough time spent beyond the levels I would call it a 0 day. Don´t take my word on this as I am extremely new to this.

Ha ha ha ha that's funny. Are you trying to bait him back here? You can see on the attached that February was a fairly good month. The last few days however were not very strong as evidenced by the many negative and zero NL days. It will be good to clear the monthly NL decks and start fresh.
Of note this week is the continued strength I see in the energy sector. XLE had good NL’s back in April and then a good run. I’m seeing many similarities and am adding this to my MF’s tomorrow.
Per last Sunday’s post, I did add High Yield Bonds and no regrets at this moment.
I also posted last week that Emerging Markets (EEM) had turned positive. I like the numbers and look of the chart. I have put in my order and will add some at tomorrow’s close.
Regional Banks (KRE) went 30 day positive on Friday and it’s been some time since that happened. (Went short term positive on 2/5/15.)

I notice the quote about major market moves being preceded by action in the currency markets was brought up recently. It's something I've been wanting to research some more.
Anyone have any advice or comments on this subject, or examples of how they've used it? Obviously I noticed how the USD breakout last year impacted commodity markets in a big way, so that's a good example of this effect. But that was relatively easy because everyone knows for example that strong USD means pressure on gold. But I am lacking knowledge on other currency relationships with other markets and looking for a way to get educated in that area.
