The ACD Method

Quote from Shanb:

SPY pushed through prior days highs and failed, Crude showing weakness as well. VXX looking undervalued relative to market...bought some down at 41.

Shan, where have you been?

I mentioned this yesterday, (or maybe the day before, it's all getting blurred now) but the XLV is at a 9 on my number line now. BMY looking particularly good today despite the "weakness," (if you can call today's action weak).

Quote from Maverick74:

The daily limit in the futures is .75 I think. And to be honest, there is a far greater chance of blowing out your account on a big move in FX then nat gas. I'm not sure how you would blow your account out on an $8 stock unless you leveraged your entire account in it and even then you couldn't. If you put 100% of your account in UNG and it went limit, you would lose less then 10% of your account. LOL.

This thing use to trade in the teens (the futures), now it's under $4. So it's really become pretty tame. When Nat Gas was in the 15 to 18 area they called it the widow maker.

You lose < 10% per day! What if we are stuck in a 20 day downdraft?

It can happen, it has happened, tho not in this commodity.

Quote from RCG Trader:

You manage a fund, I do not. 3% is unimportant to me, especially when I know that I cannot blow up:D

I don't manage a fund. That's 3% in a day. I'm talking about swing trading this. There are huge swings in this thing. This product moves far more then any FX product. And btw, ETF's can't go limit. They keep trading even if the futures go limit.

My apologies, I was under the belief that you ran a fund and were here to chat it up with us retailers out of boredom. Don't let you head swell too much:D

Okay, that said, I will look into this UNG.
