Yeah the only thing that will help a trader understand this market is having been through it before. This is really where the "experience" factor comes into trading. I feel sorry for guys who have just come into the market and have not seen this price action before. It's pretty typical and it makes sense if you think about it from a game theory perspective. The good news is the guys who experience this one will be better equipped for it the next time it happens and there is ALWAYS a next time. Markets have not changed much in the last 100 years.
