The absolute state of journalism in 2018

It is a little unfair to harp on the ignorance of Americans on these subjects when the U.S. media chooses not to report facts but editorialized opinion pieces depending on what their viewpoint is and similarly how can we expect Hamas sources and Israel to honestly report what is going on when they are controlling their image narrative.

I mean if people ask me why dont I know what is going on there I tell them because I am not there to witness it firsthand and no one is willing to tell the absolute truth.... sad but true...I cannot accept their forced social media videos they demand I see for the truth when the elements of bull shit jumps out and they pretend it doesnt matter, its all true.

Is it? Are you referring to the above? You're comparing your average voter to a "reporter" covering a conflict that has its roots on the foundation of the country.....it'd be like basic reading material. The commentator is not mad at the shitty coverage of the present event as much as he's over historicity of the expulsion of the Arabs. I didn't need to leave my couch to read the Nakba wiki.

The guy was saying how most Americans were ignorant of what was going on over there..... there are very few unbiased clean accounts of what is going on over there here in the U.S. However when I have had to travel out of the country I see better news from Europe and Latin America. The average American has no idea about Middle East conflcits because their news is so filtered and wiki is just another editorialized source which I cannot rely on 100%.

sure, I just don't think reporters get a pass. Wiki's been a bit of a mess post start of war but the expulsion history is well documented from other sources including Israeli historians. Though depending how old you are, you may have missed out on some historical corrections that happened in the 80's:
