The “Bond King” still says: Buy Gold

Quote from pikachu9:

I surely hope you don't secretly jack off to a ceiling picture of Robert Prechter or Gary Shilling above your bed. :D

Prechter is unpopular because he tells people what they DON'T want to hear. But he has an annoying habit of being right. 1982, 1987, 2000, 2007..

japan....inflation coming
united states...inflation happening
china...if they float the yuan, maybe not inflation, but now there is slight inflation with wage-push inflation
india...no clue, but they do love gold.
russia....if anything, inflation.

signed,

Bond God of the Universe.

sounds better than King

Broken clock syndrome.

Wrong, actually. In 1982 he was hugely bullish when the headlines were telling you never to bother with stocks again.

In March 2009 he advised to close shorts as there will most likely be a significant bounce. He thought it would be short lived, however, and didn't predict the 4 year "bull market" it turned into.

He'll be right this time. Just wait and see. Most humans can't understand the basic concept that any market is mean reverting.

Yes ... we understand mean reversion. Do yoy understand how many predictions guys like him throw into the wind? That is the broken watch/clock syndrome -- right twice a day!

Why would Gross go to jail?
1) If he attempts to "talk down" the bond market and it actually starts to go down, he'll be arrested for treason, terrorism and/or douchery.
2) When you operate a gigantic money management entity, there's all sorts of "lesser fraud" that can be discovered which can be punishable by prison time. :D

Broken clock syndrome.
1) Is the distance between your eyes "less than average"?
2) '82, '87, '00 and '07 is 4, F-O-U-R, instances.
3) It doesn't include the other accurate calls in other markets in various time frames. :)
