The $4000 / month cofounders

Aquarians, I hope you take it as a constructive criticism ... You are projecting a personality that would make me (and I ass-u-me many others) question working with you. I get a much better impression when I read Lee's or fan27 posts.
 
Lee wasn't a bidder. In fact I'll remove #b allthogether from my post. Therefore no:

b) Asking on those $5000 / month, on a 4 years contract, for an R&D position.

I think I'm grossly overestimating if I say software industry is 0.5% bidders and the rest are asking. So no asks please.
 
And by the way if you feel you have the skill to develop profitable trading strategies then:

a) You either are currently working for one of the big names, then you definitely have the skill to develop profitable trading strategies just like you say you have but in no way can I compete with your current employer in poaching you. So please do not apply (ASK).

b) You're not currently working for one of the big names, then definitely you're not as skillful in developing those profitable trading strategies as you claim you are. So please do not apply (ASK).

And I'm not here to make friends but build a business... if possible. Slim chances, I know.

I totally agree with your "A and B". And those like myself who been trading forever and only work for themselves expect $4k an hour. It is like my business partner, I said we go 50/50 and he learned how to program my difficult strats, I could get anyone to program for much less than 50%, but here is the thing about this business, who you going to trust when the money flowing in, I trust this guy with my life as he being a physician has saved mine couple times. "Trust" is a contract and can never be broken even once.

I would still go the route of talking with Deans in colleges in Finance, they love what they do, but they not getting paid enough and they also know students who are very bright, you can get them without huge commitment for the sake of making money. I have done this path several times years ago and worked out fine. One Dean made something a class project for cost of a party, let them tell you what they need.

I do wish you luck in proceeding in your quest.

That perspective is pretty limiting.

There is also option c) which has many subsets - the umbrella being all the possibilities that you don’t know.

Some of us have no interest in working for anybody but ourselves. We can be successful and supportive of others and also have nothing to prove.
