Just to reminds all that there are 3 really important things to have while trading electronically at a desk :

1. The best chair for your morph
2. The best desk for your morph
3. The best screen for your eyes

Because you can always win wealth if you have health. I realise that's maybe the only advice that I ever gave on this forum concerning how to trade :D.

My three would be:
1. Dedicated machines for the task in hand (trading, forward testing, simulation/backtesting, coding)
2. Robust back-up solution (for me it’s a harddisk, with offsite backup, and a backup plan... that I actually follow! Has saved my a$%& many times!)
3. Enough “screen space” to see what you need to see

4. And then of course there is trading software, market data, UPS, etc ...
