The 3-2-1 Approach: A Simplified Method for Trading Any Market

Entering The Day With An Idea - Follow-Up

This morning I posted Charles Cochran's opening comments from 7am. He was entering the day looking to go long at 112.21/25. Then if 113.00/04 held, he would change his idea and go short.

Here is the chart with the actual results. The first trade was a buy at 112.25. Then when 113.00 held, the play was to go short. All this was posted before 7am this morning. Check out the results.

Quote from ZAL:

$499 for the TIE software and access to Traders Room is the rate published and the rate charged.

You most certainly can purchase the software and/or the Traders Room individually if you prefer.

The TIE software is $349 (including eSignal data). In a previous post I quoted a rate of $249 for the TIE software with no reference to data. You can get the TIE software with a Patsystems data feed for $249, however, the data is throttled by Patsystems and may not trully represent the market at extremely busy times (like the release of economic data). I recommend a non-throttled feed.

I'd have to check, however, I think that most Traders in the room pay $499 per month for the Room and the software (including eSignal data).

If I somehow created confusion for you I apologize.

Thanks,
Sounds expensive, but if you're pushing 10 cars or more and can achieve a 75% win rate (using their trading criteria) it pays for itself ... of course you would want to be learning as much as you can while there, so that ultimately you wouldn't be reliant on anyone's market calls.

$250 are 8 ticks (16/64th) with 1 lot on ZB....

Cheap or Expensive
What is cheap ,what is expensive

IB data is cheap relative to other data providers, its volume data is severely
throttled back to save bandwidth, if accurate data both price and volume is essential to your trading style then , the initial cheap price become terribly expensive, which poor trade locations and trade management.

Some have commented that the chat room in this thread is for them expensive . Expensive compared to what other.
Have they taken advantage of the free
trial offer to see if the room helps in their trading. Other rooms too offer free trials to see they help in ones trading.

I am in th process of using the offer of a free trial at the moment. Its clear some in the room are using the room to full advantage and their trading is at a level I am trying to archive

I use Ninja Trader with the Mirus Zenfire data feed and the Fin Alg Market Profile add on. Cost 50 Bucks per month

Its horses for courses, what suits one , may not suit another

In addition to paying for the software and/or the room, does one have to open a trading account with Trademaven, or is the room/software something completely separate?

We have made it madatory to open an account with TradeMaven Clearing once you have enrolled in the TIE Traders Room and leased our TIE software.

We believe that offering a one stop solution to your trading needs is a value added approach.

Offering our futures commission rates at $.99 per side and going down as your daily volume increases should incent you to open a trading account with TradeMaven Clearing.

BTW...since we began offering lower commission rates a few weeks ago the average commission per side paid by our traders is $.78

Thanks,

ZAL, is that rate for all TradeMaven accounts or just those that join the service?

Also, what do you mean by "throttled" data? Is Ninja/Zenfire throttled or un-throttled and do you offer that?

It's expensive in relation to the cost you would pay for the equivalent software on the market ...

... plus data feeds, commissions, etc., it all adds up.

The data feeds are included in the $349 or $500 (Tie room included) total cost. Esignal alone I know is over $200 for the same exchange quotes and mkt. profile, so you are really only paying less than $150 more for a quality software sytem that is unmatched in the market. There new broker rates are also very good and below most of the competition!

The new rates apply to any and all TradeMaven Clearing accounts. To avoid any confusion here is a listing of our commission rate schedule per contract. Please note that the commission charge per contract goes down as your daily volume goes up.

1 - 10 = $.99

11 - 20 = $.89

21 - 40 = $.79

41 - 80 = $.74

81 - 120 = $.69

121 - 200 = $.64

201 - 300 = $.59

301 - 400 = $.54

401+ = $.49

Throttled data is bad, not good. It prevents all real-time price and volume data from reaching your screen as it occurs.

Firms throttle data to avoid the potental for a systems crash. Their system simply can't handle the rapid changes in price and volume information.

During times of significant volatility, vendors that provide throttled data are not deliverring data that is accurate and timely.
