The 2012 "First Debate" thread. Lets all try to keep this to one thread.

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

Obama started off a bit shakey and not looking confident

This was a good call on your part, both CNN, and MSNBC are now saying the same thing, you called it before both of them, i didnt see him being shakey at first, but you nailed it...... nice call...(this is not meant as an insult)

Quote from BSAM:

Mitt did not get a knockout.
He needed one.
Obama got in some good punches in pointing out that Mitt couldn't explain any details in a few areas.
Obama needs to work on keeping more of a straight face.
I thought Jim Lehrer did a reasonably good job.
Some of you need to get a grip, settle down, and face some reality.

he did actually provide a few examples, like when he said we could cap deductions. He also explained that he won't offer details and say it is this or nothing.. a rational explanation in my book.

Quote from PiggyBank:

you really need to stop with this bs.. I don't really like Romney but i will be voting for him. I would take Ron Paul in a heartbeat over either of these guys BUT in reality, he has NO CHANCE. I do think the Romney's basic ideas are workable, the world didn't end yet, America CAN get back on track and it starts with a Romney win.

Romney in the White House with a filibuster proof Republican House and Senate that, if they have the balls to keep a very liberal Republican Romney in check is the only chance our country has to slow and possibly stop the free fall that our country is headed......

Any other scenario and we are already screwed.

His responses struck me as a "Nancy Peolsi".
You just gotta elect me so you can see what I'm about.
He simply has to be specific when asked a question which requires a solid answer.
He doesn't do anything to erase his reputation as a flip flopper when he can't or won't provide specifics.

Chris Matthews looks Bitch-Slapped
I was thinking that myself. I don't see him often but I've never seen his hair in such a mess and his face looks flush.
