People want direct emotional appeal. That's what Romney is aiming for. But he is short on specifics. Obama defending his record only has so much traction. Attacking it, whether on fact or fantasy can yield greater results. That's what Romney has done.
Last debate will have Obama making direct emotional appeals that will resonate for him and against Romney.
Mitt did well tonight when he had a pre-arranged script to adhere to. But at some point late in the debate, Obama will start dropping the bombs on him, like the 47% remark, or his flip flopping. And that will stick in people's craw.
