You have to remember that the new Fed chair does not belong to the leech species!
He's doing exactly what Yellen has prescribed, basically doing exactly what Yellen would've done if she is still in her post and not resigned. The market ALWAYS sells off whenever the Fed tightens its monetary policy. The party would've still been killed if it's Yellen who's did the announcement today.

NQ tracking up today with a minor bump just after 12PM, then starts recovering right up to 12:45 PM. Powell opens mouth, and NQ is now south ever since that exact minute, to the tune of at least 70 points as of this typing, and is also dragging down the Dow and S&P.
It is uncanny.
