thanks destriero

Dude, were you dropped on your head? Volente stated he had screenshots, OSTENSIBLY FROM BEFORE THEY WERE DELETED. HTF did you survive childhood?

They weren't deleted. I posted the link.

And to think that only recently, you cherished his presence :)

On a quite positive note, this has motivated me to explore Options. I will obviously need to review every single post (thankfully prolific) by @destriero, and yes, Poopy. Most likely a second education for me!!!

And get the book too:

PS. I don't think anyone gives a shit about your "screenshots"...

My detractors scour my journal posts to find the opening or closing trade without context. I don't leave trades hanging. To assume that I went long or short and that trade is somewhat immortalized is retarded. You people hang on that out of jealousy or whatever. @Real Money opened this thread and people went batshit and I find it utterly hilarious.

The SPX trade (3421 short) was closed, same-day. It was an SPX diagonal.

It's why it's pointless for me to post trades to ET. Every blotter PNL I post is screen captured and sent to regulators. The last complaint stated that an "investor" in my "fund" was drawn in by my PNL posting and was robbed by six-figures. Complete fantasy. I trade exactly zero outside money except for family and my current FO gig. They (SEC) have to follow up, regardless.

I refer to SPX when in vol. If futures then I state "basis ES." I didn't mention the structure, only the cash print, bc I am not getting into the minutiae (bear delta SPX diagonal).

Do I know for a fact that Des is putting up the numbers he claims?? Nope....

But,I do know that he has given me greater insight to derivative trading/trading.And for the record I was a managing director and head trader of equity derivatives at 2 major IB's...

IMHO,he really knows his shit and as difficult as it may be to decipher his stuff, there is some gold in there...

You don't like his style,it's one thing..I get it..Block him, ignore him. But if you want to get from point A to point B in option trading,I would roll with Des.To each his own..

100% spot on.

I ran across ET about a year back, when I was just starting to learn about finance, trading, options... the whole ball of wax in one big chunk. Biggest mountain I've climbed in a long and adventurous life (and I've climbed plenty of tall ones.) Not to diminish anyone else's contribution - there are a number of helpful folks here - but @destriero, frustratingly cryptic and uncompromising as he can be, has been the #1 contributor to my learning process by miles, and is directly responsible for the greatest number of my "ah-hah!" moments in figuring things out. I owe the man a serious debt of gratitude, and I hope to have a chance to pay it back some day.

Also, for anyone who thrives on conflict and decides to try it on him: that man will Beat Your Ass like a cheap gong, in whatever arena you choose. If you're civil and grant him the respect that his skills and knowledge deserve - well, he's been unfailingly kind and helpful to me.

I can only repeat the sentiment in the title of this thread: thanks, destriero. I'm one of those who really appreciates your amazing contributions here.

Yep, tough love from the sensei!
