This is not a simple IRS audit of some guy who made $15K trading crypto and thought the IRS would not notice because there was no tax reporting.

His biggest shortcoming was thinking "all upside breakouts are false" and shorted them. (We once had a contest with $25K... He traded options while I traded mutual funds within a variable annuity. He lost most of his, I turned mine into $435K.)
