Texas immediately restores voter ID law after Supreme Court decision

“The U.S. Constitution establishes one United States — not a divided nation with different laws applying to different states. Laws that apply unequally to just some states have no place in our nation,” his statement read. “Today’s ruling ensures that Texas is no longer one of just a few states that must seek approval from the federal government before its election laws can take effect.”

It's the same law for all states, which provides for one type of treatment if the state has attribute X, and provides for another type of treatment if the state has attribute Y. If you don't like the the treatment you get for doing X, don't do X, do Y. That's the general idea behind laws (and sanctions).

Edit: admittedly, Congress does need to periodically reevaluate the states for these attributes.

I'm certainly in no hurry to leave the country, there isn't much of anywhere to go.

My son's life isn't mine to "sacrifice". But I had no problem with him going to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once. I certainly wouldn't have a problem with him fighting alongside me for a truly worthy cause, dumb ass.
