Texas governor sends letter to Obama: We won't take Syrian refugees

Oops! Smarter lefties realize

they have a losing hand

on Syrian ´refugees´

Kevin Drum of Mother Jones is an old hand on the left and has seen enough politics that he realizes what a big loser of an issue the Syrian “refugee” inflow is for the Democrats and the left. He cautions his fellow progs: (snip)...Think what you will, but one thing is clear: The political upside for Republican politicians pushing an immigration ban on Syrians and/or Muslims as a broader response to the threat posed by the Islamic State sure looks like a political winner.
Just imagine if even one of these Syrian refugees commits an act of terrorism before next election. The election would be over before it started.

The problem is not limited to refugees. The problem is massive immigration from third world countries, immigration that threatens our way of life. It is not just illegal immigration either. When you hear a candidate qualify that he is only against illegal immigration, you know he either is lying to you or doesn't understand the issue.

From Ann Coulter's column today:

.... ..

While liberals' idea of retaliation is to post the French flag on their Twitter profiles, Republicans think the way to get tough is to go to war in Syria.

Marco Rubio gives macho speeches about a military attack on ISIS -- "either they win or we win!" -- to distract from the fact that his immigration bill would have massively increased the number of needy immigrants pouring into our country -- including Muslim refugees.

So Rubio's plan for Middle East stability is to start more wars and then import all the displaced terrorists into the United States. Brilliant!

Not to be a stickler, but ISIS didn't slaughter 3,000 Americans on 9/11, blow up the Boston Marathon, murder thirteen Americans at Fort Hood, or open fire on a military recruiting center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

ISIS didn't kill Kate Steinle, commitmass murder on the Long Island Railroad, introducePalo MayombeandSanteriato our country, bringslaves and concubines from Indiato San Francisco, or burn down hundreds of acres of national parks to evade border agents.

ISIS doesn't import 90 percent of the illegal drugs that kill thousands of Americans every year, steal billions of dollars from Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, orrape little girls, nuns and dogs in our country.

ISIS isn't responsible for Sweden suddenly becoming therape capital of the world, the Eritrean asylum seeker whostabbed a mother and a son to deathat an Ikea store in Vasteras a few months ago, or theDutch filmmaker Theo van Goghbeing stabbed to death on a street in Amsterdam.

All that -- and more! -- is the result of Third World immigration to the First World.

The West's importation of Stone Age people is a completely self-inflicted wound. It's as if the civilized world decided to amputate a leg.You know what? We're too healthy and pure. Peg legs are stylish!

The idea that the only way to stop Third World immigrants from murdering Westerners is for our military to remake foreign hellholes into "proud, functioning and viable member(s) of the community of nations" -- as Madeline Albright said when we sent troops to Somalia in 1993 -- goes back to the Left's "root causes" theory.

Instead of imprisoning criminals, liberal judges in the 1960s decided that we must tackle the "root causes" of crime by addressing PID: poverty, ignorance and disease. To fight crime, we'd deploy welfare, Head Start and school lunch programs!

For the next two decades our streets ran with blood. Americans finally rose up in a blind rage and demanded that criminals be separated from the law-abiding.

Similarly, we wish the best for all the barbaric, misogynistic, pedophilic, illiterate nations of the world. But the main thing we want is for our government to keep them away from us.

Isn't keeping murderers out of the country literally the least our government can do? America has been pretty generous to the rest of the world, taking in more than twice as many refugees as the rest of the world combined. As Donald Trump says, now we need a "pause."

Rubio's war in Syria to stop terrorism at home is the Republican version of Clinton's "midnight basketball" to stop street crime.Pay no attention to all those murderous migrants -- we'll fix that by rebuilding their home nations!

True, a war against ISIS might "send a message." But we were hoping to send a different message: Stay home.

The Obama Administration Stopped Processing Iraq Refugee Requests For 6 Months In 2011

NOVEMBER 18, 2015 By Sean Davis

Although the Obama administration currently refuses to temporarily pause its Syrian refugee resettlement program in the United States, the State Department in 2011 stopped processing Iraq refugee requests for six months after the Federal Bureau of Investigation uncovered evidence that several dozen terrorists from Iraq had infiltrated the United States via the refugee program.

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command...

Well, like you lefties like to say about the costitution, that shit is outdated.

Immigration is nowhere to be seen in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. But then, I don't expect any republican to know that. Just like the bozos state governors that warned Obama that they would not be taking any Syrian refugees. Anyone who doesn't know that basic truth is Unconstitutional in this country is automatically disqualified from being POTUS, imo. In fact, those governors should be impeached for stupidity and thrown out of office.

The Statue Of Liberty is an ideal, not a right.

The funniest thing of all is that all these republicans stand up for less government, but I have never seen a set of people wanting to impose more of their beliefs on other people FORCED THROUGH THE GOVERNMENT.

So, it is small government when it suits them, and big government when it suits them. "Tails I win, heads you lose." - Republicans.

The Simple Truth: Republicans Hate Our Constitution

  • Abortion? Well, we disagree with it, so we can try to violate the Constitutionally protected right a woman has over her own body.
  • The Affordable Care Act? Well, we disagree with it, so it’s okay to try and ignore that Constitutionally upheld law.
  • Religion in public school? Well, we think our country was founded on Christianity (even though the word Christianity doesn’t appear even once in our Constitution), so it’s okay to ignore the First Amendment and force religion (as long as it’s the Christian religion) into our public schools.
  • Freedom for all? Well, not if you’re homosexual. Then we’ll continue to violate the First Amendment by supporting laws that define marriage as between a man and a woman. A belief that’s based on the Christian Bible—a belief of which millions of Christians don’t even support.
  • Conservatives don’t like that minorities often don’t vote for their party, so it’s acceptable to try and change our Fourteenth Amendment and the Constitutional definition of what constitutes an American citizen.
  • Certain demographics don’t vote for us, so let’s find ways to make it harder for them to vote. Similar to poll taxes or tests once used to discourage certain voters from voting.
  • ad-infinitum
