Lies of omission, dude. Lies of omission. Media does this shit all day long to push an agenda. In this case, it's open-door immigration and multiculturalism. Why? Who benefits?

"Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said on Monday that his state will not accept any refugees from Syria in the wake of the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris last week.

Colorado, having long ago been "Californicated"... our governor "Dick"-enlooper has made a public statement to the effect.... "Send 'em here. We'll take them"!

Bastard!!

:(

Republicans fixin to do with the Syrian refugees the same thing they've done on all of Obama's schemes.

They are going to pass a stand alone bill that demands obama certify that none of the syrians coming into the country are terrorists. And as long as he does that, he can bring in as many as he wants. This is the bill that is supposed to convince conservatives that they're 'doing something' about all these potential refujihadis coming in.

Meanwhile, they're going to fund the whole operation in the budget bill. No intention of defunding it. It's just like all the other sell outs we've been subjected to.

They're helping obama do this dastardly deed and using a phony standalone bill to pretend they're putting up a fight.

Even when it would be such a winning issue for republicans they still stick a knife in our backs.

These Numbers Explain the Sudden Republican Antipathy to Muslim Refugees

A survey by the Public Religion Research Institute finds that 73 percent of white evangelical Protestants believe that the values of Islam and America are incompatible.

On Tuesday morning, as many Republican governors and presidential aspirants were jockeying to express their antipathy to Muslim refugees hoping to emigrate to the United States, the Brookings Institution held an event to unveil the findings of this year’s American Values Survey. Titled “Anxiety, Nostalgia and Mistrust,” the report goes a long way toward explaining the intensity of the anti-Muslim sentiment that has gripped Republican politicians (and a couple Democrats) in the wake of Friday’s terrorist attack in Paris.

The survey itself was taken before the attacks, so it likely doesn’t capture the full spectrum of fear and mistrust among U.S. demographic groups that exists toward Muslims today. Even so, it vividly illustrates why a presidential candidate intent on appealing to Republican primary voters might, as Chris Christie did on Monday, take a position on Muslim refugees so extreme that it even barred orphaned toddlers.

The survey, by the Public Religion Research Institute, measures the feelings of different religious groups toward Islam. By far the most negative response came from white evangelical Protestants, 73 percent of whom agreed with the statement, “The values of Islam are at odds with American values and way of life”:

This is because thinking people know that the values of Islam "as they are being practiced" are at odds with the way of life for all free people. Poll manipulators can phrase the question any which way they like, but the bottom line is you have Islam in theory, and then you have it as it really is, and we all know it for what it really has become.
All religions are better in theory than actually put into practice, but there haven't been any recent beheadings over at the Vatican, or in the name of any other western religion. Every religion can and have been perverted to some crazy ideology, but none even come close to what Islam has become. None even come a close second, and I'm speaking modern day of course, before one of the idiot leftists make some comparison to the crusades. It's 2015, not 1215.

This guy is just posturing. The Texas governor can't do jackshit to stop a Syrian immigrant from settling in Texas. No Governor can in any state. Immigration is Federal. State borders are open. Once an immigrant is allowed in, he has freedom of travel within the states. What is the Texas Governor (wtf is his name anyway?) do? Interstate travel by individuals is permitted by the Constitution's commerce clause. Whether you like it or not, the law is crystal clear on this. Can you imagine a State having the power to selectively deny people from entering a state based upon their ethnic origin or religion?

Disclaimer: Any Syrians the Feds let in I believe have to undergo MICROSCOPIC examination and be subject to a parole style of existence. They have to check in
with an immigration officer on a regular basis to make sure they are leading ........kosher lives.

I guess you are not aware of state nullification of Federal Power.

California, Colorado and many others have already told the Feds to shut up and stay out when it comes to medical marijuana.

This may be the next issue. I would not push on Texas if I were the Feds.

The leftist mind on display when stressed by reality.

We just saw refugee terrorist attack... yet...
for some strange reason on the same thread we find Nitro saying Muslims are not the only ones forcing conversions....

he goes back to 1492 and Spanish Visigoths. yeah that was real relevant.

and.... then... we see an article attempting to marginalize Christians for common sense statements.

Sharia law is at odds with our Constitution and our values.
Does that mean we should not allow any Muslims in...no... but we can't trust t democrats or establishment Republicans to do it correctly.

Look at these numbers and tell us that we should not be far more discerning about the incompatibility....
