Texas governor asks leopards not to eat face

Moving mining to Texas never made any sense to me. Last winter highlighted how vulnerable their grid is, plus it is unplugged from the rest of the country. Incentives must have been huge.
Barring these last two winters, the last one in texas was over 10 yrs ago. They've got shit tons of nat. gas that makes electric cheap.

Now, bitcoin saving the environment is the funniest thing I saw in a while. Not surprised to see it coming out of Cruz mouth.
It actually makes perfect sense (I wrote a pitch for the idea a few years ago). You're either going to flare or worst yet vent it since you can't ship it.

Bitcoin miners don't pay for electricity if they set it up correctly

The miners get paid to mine bitcoin because they're capturing 100% of the flare gas and saving the environment

Aramco is thinking of doing the same thing for bitcoin mining, not for revenues but to get carbon credits or something

Hrmmm. Here's something I do not understand. Why is it that crypto miners are the only ones that can use this "flared gas"? Why can the flared gas not be used to charge batteries or power homes?

Here are two factors.

My point exactly when anyone says crypto makes environment better. It is like LBO adding Debt to company balance sheet is good for that company. It makes it trim the fat. Moronic above and beyond.
