Man if the richest person in the world, founded PayPal, Tesla and space ex is “just another grifter” then we are all fucked lol
Musk was not a PayPal founder. His company simply merged with what would become PayPal, and he was eventually replaced by Peter Thiel. Musk just had a large stake in the thing. But yeah, we're all fucked in the end.
This about it. He "stole" the T-zero car from the guys who made it, and turned it into the Roadster. Sure, there was still lots of innovation after, but he didn't start from the ground up. And sure, Tesla repaid all the government loans, but to this day, a huge amount of tax payer dollars still subsidizes EVs. Now of course government does this for many industries, but all this shows is that to make it, you better use tax payer money.
Now we have Space X, and as cool as it is, it requires government dollars as a customer. The satellite internet business isn't a new idea, and it might make SpaceX profitable, but its only after getting millions from Nasa.
Solar City is a joke, and as much as I love the idea of solar power, it was clearly rescued Tesla.
Now we have Elon buying Twitter, and he needed to do it with Saudi money, hence why he is their bitch. Also, Tesla is probably only surviving because of the Chinese plant, since that is where they make the cars for the cheapest price. From what I read, they couldn't compete if all cars were made in the US. So now Elon is also China's bitch.
He is one of those guys who is all for free speech, but don't you dare say anything bad about him. His version of free speech has limits since it isn't universal. He is an expert manipulator, I give him that, but hardly someone to look up.

Without getting into a moral fight about what is right and wrong, as I've been saying, just the fact that Tether, the company, has the ability to freeze the funds in any address is reason to worry. I have seen too many instances where anything that is centralized, be it a blockchain or an exchange, state that if asked to do so by the government, they would comply with any request to block any address or transaction. (and of course I understand because nobody is going to go to jail over business reasons)
