I hope it continues to work perfectly for a long time for you...please continue to post your trades and update this thread as you move along. A losing trade would be nice to see...to calm the spirits ...

Ele....., I am not a great trader. Using this strategy for the last about 1 month has yielded me exactly..... let me count..... please be patient.... I am still counting. Answer "0" losses. This is not because I am a great trader. I place a 1 tick profit minimum on all trades I take. That guarantees me no loss. I stupidly get stopped out for that 1 tick profit before a lot of the signals go for a lot more profit. I will learn.

Please post the loss when it comes...be careful and do not "bet the farm" as your confidence grows. Follow your conservative rules. Some really great traders here will disagree with me and say "take it while you can"...but then you will need to know when to stop quickly and not give it all back.

The market changes character and you are in it "live"....respect that.

...by the way we are all learning...when you stop learning its time to take a break and start over.

Neither I nor the strategy have the ability to predict the future. I apologize that that may have been construed by my last post. I should refrain from the use of the word predict. In my usage of it in my last post I did not intend to convey that the strategy could tell the future. Ele...., maybe on the same 5 minute candle? Maybe.

Be careful with your credulity, ES. What ddav is doing in this thread is advertising under false pretenses, and NoDoji likely correctly identified how the signals are being cherry picked. People who hope the way you do are the kind of target for this kind of scam.

Think of an MA cross system. Often times a 5 ema and a 10 ema cross in the middle of a 5 minute bar, only to disentangle in the last 20 seconds. During the first 4 min and 40 seconds, a signal is generated. During the last 20, it is removed. Onward until finally they do cross and this time the signal stays painted on the chart. It is very amateur system design to code that logic, but ddav is more interested in casting a line than in performance.
 
Where did you get the 1 tick idea? are you supposed to trade from arrow to arrow? is this an indicator based entry and exit only?

Occam's Razor. Is it easier to believe that a person who has a 100% predictive model for the markets is posting ex post facto trades every day online, out of the goodness of his heart, to <i>teach</i>? What actionable insight into markets has he taught so far?

Or is it easier to believe that ddav is a failed system developer who recognizes that casually talking about a get-rich-quick story will solicit PMs from struggling traders who really want to make money from the markets? He will do so by pretending he didn't design the system himself, so he can't answer questions as to how it works.

Think of the truly successful traders you've known. All of them take losses and accept the losses because trading decisions are probabilistic. There is absolutely no system that can identify swings to the tick, <b>real time</b>. There are, however, innumerable ways to code a system to look at it after the fact and paint an arrow on a chart. I could do one in about 2 hours and post the charts for you in the same manner.
