The irony of this all is that Edison, who wanted to power the nation with DC, somehow stole Nikolai Tesla's idea of AC and made it his own "invention".

And now Musk is using the name Tesla to create cars running on DC, which was Edison's original idea for powering the nation.

You cannot make this shit up.

I was reading about their rivalry recently.

It would seem that Tesla was the genius and Edison was the marketer.

Edison was also ruthless enough to make sure Tesla never outshone him,right down to ensuring Teslas ideas were associated with the Electric Chair etc.

They were going to start phasing them out but nope....tesla stock would be under 30 bucks and would have never even touched a trillion dollar market capitalization if it werent for the credits....that gave the most ultimate boost to the stock price the last decade.

I was looking into an ev but the infrastructure for charging is extremely poor at.the moment. All they have around my major areas are level 2 which takes 4 to 7 hrs to charge. They have quick charges but maybe a handful which from reviews some don't even work or need some kind of Maintenance. Anyone I talk to says they will not buy an EV ....the last 4 people I spoke to who bought a new car the last 6 months all bought gas cars.

I was walking down a parking lot yesterday (was full so had to park far away and then walk down a long way to the store). Every 3rd-4th car was a Tesla. This is Texas.
