I am blocked so I can't see Dest's post, but just for the record. After the Thursday's open Tesla dropped to 620, when the call part of the 580 straddle was ~55. I know it, because I was watching it. The put part was a couple of bucks but obviously there was no point in closing that side.
So yes, I am right, that straddle could have been closed with a gain.
