Tesla Cancels MegaFactory in India

One thing that is universal throughout the world (U.S. included), is that where you find poverty you will also find crime and corruption. Some pretend otherwise.

Indians pay 50% to 100% import duty for foreign imported cars like Mercedes, BMW, Rolls Royce, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc.. Indians are rich people but India is a poor country

India, like most south-southeast-Asian countries, want free trade only if they're the ones exporting. It's always a one-way street with them. Luckily western countries are getting wise to this and will also play hard, make free trade agreements with all their neighbours and they'll be the ones losing out.

India is a very corrupt country especially its public servants. I should know since my uncle was one of these corrupt gov't officials who used to pocket millions (Rupees) in black money for his side business as a contractor in the one of the poorest & corrupt states -- Bihar. The guy literally had suitcases of cash & gold jewelry in his safe at his mansion.
Oh and the Indian court system is truly a farce. They move cases at the speed of turtles.

Good points; but some US courts move like turtles=LOL:D:D
USA Small claims+ USa traffic courts move like rabbits+ if you drive like a rabbit you get to pay a fast fine:caution::caution::D

Enron had some pretty big plans for development in India too. Then we saw how that rolling train-wreck of a shit-show continued... from bad to worse due to Fastow's creative accounting practices.

I believe their forced-to-be-canceled reactor project alone cost them a write-off of a billion dollars. At that point, they decided to just PRINT MONEY in their books like the Fed.
