Every firm wants to maximize profits by overcharging. TSLA is facing consumer market driectly so it has pricing power. It won't overpay for a good tech, even for a better one.

The question is why the big 3 won't look at it, because they all know QS is not a game changer.

You are telling me if RR or GE developed a better jet engine, instead of selling it to Boeing or Air Bus, they will build and sell their own commercial jet instead or charge an arm and a leg for it?
