Tesla 2023

You recognize the issues so am not quite sure where you stand. I've said as much almost verbatim in the past. I've defended CEO's compensation since they have the luxury of low supply to their demand to negotiate salary upon hiring, low-skill workers don't so they need to create their own leverage by collective bargaining. Not every stand out is in a situation in life where they can look elsewhere be it from illness, family, or being content w/their situation short of salary. Labor can't diminish supply through their work like CEOs can by merging and acquisitions either. Labor can't do unethical moves to improve profits and juice board and CEO salary bumps.

If we're so adamant to treat labor as a commodity that you can just mine or harvest, just look at unions as a contracting company renegotiating their contract. What's that? There's only one such company called the UAW and you can't fire it and get another one? Sux doesn't it? Maybe treat monopolizing moves w/the same disdain as unions are treated.

I have no interest in the pro-union/anti-union debate you keep looking for.

At no point did I denigrate the working man.

I stand by my,on topic,comments.

So your beef is American companies are listening to the American market and producing vehicles that are proven winners but you disapprove of?
So why are the Big 3 losing market share year after year?

... Again, I would suggest budgets prioritizing road fixing instead of buying trucks to circumvent.. We're acting like we're in a developing country!
So you are against Tesla's CyberTruck, that is meant to carry .... not much at all?

Just a 2024 (?) version of the Hummer, the original, impractical, monstrosity version.

I'm going to need you to provide numbers since you keep making big claims based on feels. Japan's been making big pickups and SUVs in America for a while now.

Biggest problem with large 'utes', they're difficult to park.
They'll take up most of the housing driveway.
Often will not fit into a house garage.
Awkward at shopping centres trying to fit into a car space.
no doubt....everything truly is bigger in America though. Including parking spots and garage spaces

he's certainly not against EV sedans that weigh twice as much as a compact that does the same thing while not paying a road tax.

I'm not a fan of the Cybertruck which goes against everything Tesla has been working towards: manufacturing efficiency and optimization for mass market. It's an Elon Musk ego product that is excessively difficult to build in volume and will create repair nightmares that the media will have a field day over. So no, I'm no fan of the Cybertruck. It's difficult to anticipate its impact on the share price but I expect a surge as it goes on sale, followed by a sharp drop if the spin is negative.

Ok.

But what about the Hummer aspect of it, ie sustainability, green, optimization of resources, yada yada.

Funny they stopped at 2018, right about when Tesla volume production started with the S.
Nonetheless, let me refresh those numbers for you
