I'm not so sure some local-yocal county official should have the power to close a $90 Billion marketcap multi-nat's primary manufacturing facility. This is like giving some elected dog-catcher the launch codes for a Minuteman rocket.

Knowing Elon, he'll develop a cure and set up a Corona inoculation tent. At a minimum, he'll call Trump.

That's like saying "I'm not sure how a federal judge can stop a presidential edict". Isn't democracy grand? FWIW, I doubt the Alameda health officials care about Elon's feelings right now.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Sharp Corp (6753.T) has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the Japanese unit of Tesla Inc (TSLA.O), seeking an injunction to halt imports of some electric vehicles (EV) to Japan, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

Sharp, a unit of Taiwan’s Foxconn (2317.TW), has been actively filing patent infringement cases in recent months, accusing U.S. TV brand Vizio Inc and Chinese smartphone maker OPPO.

Why not? It is a simple case of using the definition of "non-essential." If other factories close down, so should Tesla.
 
I think selling cash covered puts are not a bad idea here. The puts are juicy, and if the seller eventually gets the stock he can start to do the wheel. Stock is pushed down by 60%, getting it for cheap is not a bad idea. When things normalize, it will bounce back or at least stop falling.
