I'll buy into the pure EV BS when every gas station in this country also has a universal charging station that fits all electric cars, and the 400-mile range car charges from empty to full in 20 minutes. (That's as generous as I'll get on the recharge time, because that's about how long a rest stop will take on a road trip with stretching and bathroom breaks, and filling up the ICE gas tank.)
But if I am in the middle of bumfuck, and have to divert 100 miles to find a charging station to get an extra 200 miles down the road I am on, fugheddabouddit.
Some people just don't want change, no matter how it's served.it has never been an issue for me. Every metropolitan area has many Tesla charging stations. I’m not referring to NYC or Boston (where they are actually more difficult to find). Every third tier city is full of them. You have to drive 15-20min for one but remember you have a gas station at your house every night. and on road trips, your hotel will often have a free “gas station service”
Where does this happen? Can you find an example? There isn't one in my life.
One route I recall is on I-10 west, after you pass central Texas. Hell, they had warning signs up that there was no gas station for 160 miles or whatever. Hard to imagine there would be charging stations along that route, in the middle of the desert. *shrugs*
I'd like to use an expletive but the maps can show just how little you understand TSLA and superchargers...
Yeah, I guess a lot has changed since I took that route in 2005. Who knew progress would be that quick.
