Homeless encampments dubbed "tent cities" are springing up across the US, partly in response to soaring numbers of home repossessions, the credit crunch and rising unemployment, according to a report.

It happens in any recession. I'll bet that most of those tent dwellers are construction workers.

Technically we are not in recession, the stimulus package kept the economy from contracting, who knows when we will actually be in a recession, that is two quarters of contraction, even though Obama keeps repeating the recession word and nobody demands he prove it.....

Actually, we have them. You see them, get up, out of their tents, go down to the stream, wash up, and then go to work.

You must be hearing horror stories no matter where you live. Empty malls, restaurants......... This one is different. Torn county, no confidence in anything.
