Hilarious that Porsche's first offering is 3Y ahead of anything coming out of Tesla.

I always get a chuckle out of the general public when they make it sound like electric cars are some black box that only Tesla has the keys to. "Thanks for setting the trend I guess, we'll take it from here."_established car companies.

Good for local driving, commuting, or second car I guess.

Can't argue much with that. I think the Starbucks propping next to superchargers model makes 600mi trips tolerable

I don't know how C&D can come to their conclusion as the only advantage the Tesla S has over the Porsche is price: 1/2 of what the Porsche costs but the Porsche beats the S in almost every performance categories?

Because the car is literally twice the price. Tesla is doomed as this tech trickles down to VW and others.

Most of those "performance" categories might be important to Porsche drivers but most TSLA drivers care more about practical driving such as distance and charging. Most don't care if their vehicle is a fraction of a second slower in the 0-60, 1/4, etc....

IMO, most EV buyers will be charging at home most of the time so charge time isn't a make/break when deciding what to buy. Most will have an ICE vehicle for trips until they're convinced they can get by with an EV only.

TSLA is really working on creating a good infotainment center to make it less "painful" to wait for a charge.

How would those vehicles compare to a Porsche or TSLA ?

I don't know much about the list you provided but I think they're all on the lower end of performance but I'm uninformed.

TSLA model 3 is selling far better than all other EVs so apparently buyers see something they like better with a TSLA.

If I were to buy an EV I wouldn't even look at anything but a TSLA so my view is probably biased.

the 3 is the better looking of the low priced lot, though I question how many of those low cost 3's exist or are even available.

IMO tesla is the apple of EVs. They have a shiny exterior and decent tech & can claim to be the 1st of its kind w/o necessarily being so, but the biggest selling point is making their buyers feel smug and special over their peers. Problem is, they're not going to move the volume that apple did before its competitor android entered the game.
