On Monday, March 1, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas voted against confirming Biden Attorney General nominee Merrick Garland while in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Cruz cited Garland's supposed refusal to answer questions or meet with Senators.

Democratic Committee chair Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois quickly put Cruz in his place, however, pointing out Garland was more than willing to meet with Senators over Zoom and had answered over 800 questions submitted in writing.

Cruz once again shits himself...

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz says now that he’s not happy that Merrick Garland wouldn’t meet to discuss nomination for Attorney General, but it emerges Garland did offer to speak over Zoom — which Cruz declined.

Under direct questioning from Cruz, Garland refused to comment on any of the actions of the Obama administration DOJ. Garland saying that he did not want to comment on any previous office holders or predecessors or FBI officials. Even though he has rather publicly commented on Trump administration DOJ and related matters.

If Cruz found that to be too politically slick and disingenuous to get his vote, so be it. After what this country went through under the Obama DOJ and Comey, any future nominees for that position are rightfully required to reply. The fact that he answered many other softball questions from the dems is neither here not there.

I saw only two minutes of the hearing and someone asked him if felt the president had the authority to waive congressionally approved immigration legislation and allow undocumenteds to enter. Garland said: He had not given it any thought. WTF! What a little hack he is. Just running out the clock to get the question over with.

“Poverty has been a part of American life since this country was founded, in 1776, but that apparently means nothing to the Democrat Cancel Culture Gang,” Cruz said. “In their intolerant view, poverty is somehow no longer appropriate.”
