I do not take the Max Span signal every day. By the way it is not a Puretick creation.
It basically is a blend of Linda Raschke's and Toby Crable's first half hour break out method. Their stop would be at the other end of the opening range.
It works but you do have vicious draw downs. I had a hard time psychologically following those kinds of drawdowns (like any pure trend method).
Max Span also borrows from another instructor (Mark B. Fisher) who also likes to use an opening range breakout. His concept of opening range is shorter term. You can read more about his filters in his book "THE LOGICAL TRADER."
The only thing "sensitive" that you may have discovered is that in essence I have "STOLEN" profitable methods from very successful traders and have integrated them into some of the things that we do here.
That is why I love to laugh at the few newbies on ET who have no idea what is going on in the real world with some very successful traders who have taught others (although they do charge very hefty fees).
Maybe Goldman Sachs and Richard Dennis and Paul Tudor Jones will not let a trader come to his firm, teach for free and give out a free $50,000 stake to start up some ET newbies
ALL FOR FREE.
But Anek will, LOL.
