Technical analysis :useless junk science

Quote from R. Raskolnikov:

You THINK you did extensive studies but if this is what you consider extensive then all I can say is...LOL.

We own the largest data base of completed trades ever compiled. The studies were exhaustive and based on the data.

Yes, glad he has cleared that up and now he's about to show me how exactly he back tested the falling knife set up to show how ignorant a whore gambler I am.

Seems he does what he says he doesn't... and doesn't do what he says he does.

What's up Oily, you're keeping us all waiting. Time to put up or shut up!

Think about it for a moment: if your TA knowledge is based on the failure of Gann Astrology so you give up on TA and then ya jump into EA world without learning real TA, then the idea of up and down days makes sense because you assume all up days or down days are of equal importance and the key factor is how many days up or down.

Unfortunately in the real world that is not TA, it's EA. Amateurs mistake one for the other. The difference is you can click the mouse for up and down day studies and think you are doing a valid TA investigation while a TA would scratch his head and wonder how he could make use of that information to support proper TA.

It may help to reduce the field to a warm list, but my goodness, it's only a rough start point.

Extensive studies! Sure Oily thinks he has done 9 yrs of extensive studies and when it gets down to the details of just one study on a Falling Knife set up he starts to freak out saying he uses TA and 44 studies.

Come on FxGuruMasterProfessional (all titles Oily has given to himself), let's see the actual inputs for this backtest and results you said you were going to show me.

I'm so excited to learn that I can hardly contain myself.

Trends don't even exist in the stock market. They can't be measured, they can't be quantifiably defined-- therefore the feeble attempt at measuring such by visual inspection of charts known as technical analysis is complete nonsense.

Oh really? What was that since 2009 until now in the stock market? Sideways move maybe? :)

Quote from oilfxpro:

It was testing just testing for net pips profitability , standard mm , 44 different signals.

What makes you think those 44 signals were any good?

Quote from oilfxpro:

Exactly true!It is junk science...........It can not be used on it's own ......most currency traders use it to see the road map and take off , but their main price driver is fundamental analysis.T/a on it's own has no edge.

80 % of t/a does not produce any edge ...only when it is backed by fundamentals it does.

If you know how's it's done, why aren't you still profitable? :)

Quote from oilfxpro:

The t/a works threads are started by trading educators and their accomplices to convince the noobs , as an advertising campaign.Same ol clowns/accomplices have been posting on these threads.

They can prove TA works. You only can prove YOU can't make it work for YOU. :)

They can only prove in hindsight with waffle , t/a using past information can not predict future.

You are lying again. You know I showed many trades proven to be real-time and I trade using mainly T/A.

I have also personally witnessed Xspurt calling hundreds if not thousands of trades in real-time, if my word is worth something based on what I do myself, I say he does it, I have seen it. As well as have seen NoDoji calling real-time trades too, as real-time as Skype sound chat can be real-time.
