You really wouldn't know what I am talking about because you know very little about real trading from the inside.Oil stands for crude oil futures , fx stands for currencies , pro stands for the master of the markets = oil fx pro.stocks , shares , futures , commodities , options ,trading systems ,financial trading etc is my field.

How would you expect something you would not know about to make sense? How would you be able to respond to something you have little knowledge of?

I wonder how many other sages on ET are in The Student Room?

Little wonder these threads seem to be started by kids.

Scammer alert!!!!

This guy should change his username to something less misleading. How about "oilfxamateur" or "oilfxwannabe"?

Here's a pic of Oiler after being arrested for scamming newb traders with bogus EA systems.

Is this guy the biggest scammer we've had on ET? Just pages of EA's. Little wonder he wants to scare people off TA so they come to him for his 40,000 pip a year system. He preys on students, newsb and anyone he can convince.

Umpteen threads/posts on how technical analysis can't work = "useless junk science"

Only idiots can start umpteen threads on same topic , I only opened this thread contradicting all the others. All the other threads were to raise positive sentiment on t/a and trend following etc.If the others actually proved to you that t/a doesn't work , then you can understand buffoons.

Quote from Xspurt:

I don't support the idea of university professors testing TA unless they actually learn TA which is a rare occurrence. Notwithstanding that, here are a few guys that discovered TA works, even thought imho they have a lot to learn...

“In this paper, we document that an application of a moving average strategy of technical analysis to portfolios sorted by volatility generates investment timing portfolios that often outperform the buy-and-hold strategy. For high volatility portfolios, the abnormal returns, relative to the CAPM and the Fama-French three-factor models, are high, and higher than those from the well known momentum strategy. The abnormal returns remain high even after accounting for transaction costs. Although both the moving average and the momentum strategies are trend-following methods, their performances are surprisingly uncorrelated and behave differently over the business cycles, default and liquidity risk.”

It is just a financial blog. There is no evidence in your posts link to consistent returns related to using t/a , it is all in hindsight trading and historical simulated trading without actually trading.

Shows how brain dead you really are.The problem is you can't read a chart so it is all a mystery to you. I have over 100 examples over several years posted in ET calling direction in advance of market moves whereas you have nothing you can show but claims of making 40,000 pips PA and scamming people like this...

You are such a loser :)

Quote from oilfxpro:

I never said losing systems , just breakeven systems plus

Then MM is still of secondary importance, because it's only a way to optimize equity curve and is not relevant to having or not having an edge itself.

Quote from oilfxpro:

Stop dreaming these traders do not use t/a , some crooks use insider information. There is no evidence to suggest any of them use t/a.

Considering rich and successful people crooks by default is very typical for poor mentality. Get rid of this complex of fault associated with wealth or you won't make good money ever. It has nothing to do with reality, just with losers rationalizing their inability to succeed.

Quote from oilfxpro:

using price and mathematical formula is different from using t/a based on history to predict future prices. It is not the same.

You didn't answer how exactly you use price if not historical price?
